Celebrity douche bags

Well everyone has been talking about it the whys and the what they should do now. At the footy John Terry was the topic..who cares, why are we surprised that some dumb fuck footballer with more money than sense cant keep his dick in his trousers. I think the sad thing is his wife seems to be the living embodiment of a door mat. Take him to the cleaners, cut up all his ghastly, bad taste, over priced clothes. Pour acid in his aftershave, over the bonnet of his car and anywhere else you fancy. Just do something other than simper and take him back. As you can tell I am not to be double crossed in love. I don´t care about Asley Cole, or Vernon (we all thought he was so nice) Kay. But I do vaguely care about the partners of these pathetic men, well more precisely I care about the message they send out to other women. Just empty their bank accounts and dump them.

The Girl who Played with Fire

Second book in the Millennium trilogy and this time Lisbeth Salander is the star of the show. The plot gallops along and has more twists and turns than the average race track. Not too keen on the recap bits from the previous novel but I guess necessary for some readers.
We get to learn why Salander is as she is and come to love her even more in this book. I must say as a fan of Wallander, English and Swedish versions this startling new character is a breath of fresh air to crime detection. Larsson has that unique ability found in some men to able to write extremely well the thoughts and feelings of his women characters. I can only think of one other, Sebastian Faulks, who has the same ability but obviously in a quite different genre.
They are not preachy books but they do touch on themes close to Larsson´s heart namely the oppression and exploitation of women, racism and corruption in the state.
Great stuff, off to start number three, The Girl who Kicked the Hornets´Nest.
